We stayed in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania about 2 hours from our next planned stop, Watkins Glen. Rain and thunderstorms were in the forecast so we almost changed our plans, but decided to drive to the park and see what happened. God was on our side, the weather was beautiful and we walked the entire 1.8 mile trail along the Gorge. When we got to the end, we stopped to get a quick bite to eat at the snack bar and found out there was a shuttle that we could take back to our car. Dan said we didn’t need to take the shuttle, but as we were eating outside it started to pour down rain. We took the shuttle.
This park was on the original Buzzfeed list that started these road trips back in 2015. We’ve been to 17 on the list so far and haven’t been disappointed yet.
