We visited Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water, a “summer cabin” designed for the Kauffman family. This stop wasn’t on the original list, but we added it after I visited the chair exhibit at the Joslyn with Lora and learned it was in the general area of our travels. It was beautiful, and we learned a lot. We couldn’t take photos in the house.
Our next stop was the Flight 93 memorial site, another addition to the original list. Do you see a pattern here? So far we’ve made 5 stops and only 2 were on the initial list. Yep, that’s how we roll. When we left the site we drove on the Lincoln Highway which runs through Iowa and Illinois. It also happens to be the road where Pizza Villa is located. We found a new friend for Patrick at a gas station on our way out of town!
