We decided to drive all the way around Lake Tahoe to make sure we didn’t miss anything. It was beautiful, but it was also one of the most crowded places we visited so far. The price of gas was crazy, $4.00 a gallon! The lake is beautiful, and the weather was perfect.
There was another church in my book, Saint Mary in the Mountains, in Virginia City not far from Carson City where we stayed. Of course it was up the side of a mountain, but what a cool little town! It started to rain as soon as we got there, so we didn’t get the opportunity to explore the town. This area is definitely on our return to list.
