Today was a driving day, it’s almost 500 miles from Vegas to Lake Tahoe, and there’s not much on the road. On the way we passed by the exit for Area 51 and had to make a stop at the World Famous Clown Motel. The motel was pretty cool, and the owner was great. He showed us several rooms, and shared how he had designed all the clowns. He had hired artists to paint them, but when that wasn’t working out he began painting them himself in November of 2020. There were only 4 scary rooms, the rest were kind of cute. One had a Ghandi clown, and another room featured Elvis. We bought t-shirts, then headed back out to Carson City, NV.
